Met-Scan managed the successful migration from analog video to IP based surveillance for the MTO’s 400 series highway cameras. This project involved interfacing with existing analog video switchers to provide uninterrupted service during the transition period. An array of servers provide mission critical reliability for access to video and data at all times, while three large video walls provide essential visibility of our roadways. Robust design and high scalability were essential to the project’s success. Once completed, the system improved response times and simplified the process of providing video of traffic incidents to local authorities.
